Staff Report
Softball can be a cruel game. Harrison pitching allowed just
two hits in six innings Monday evening, but Carmel turned them into three runs
and grabbed a 3-2 victory. The difference was a single run plated by the
Greyhounds in the second frame. Both teams scored twice in the fifth inning.
The winning pitcher was Petruzzi who allowed four hits in a
complete game effort. She walked five and struck out six. Stephans took the
loss for the Raiders allowing the two hits while striking out eight but walking
six in six innings.
